Edward’s victory over a pinched nerve
The problem he faced
For many years, Edward endured pain, weakness, tingling, and numbness caused by a pinched nerve in his neck. Before coming to Eclipse, he tried many different forms of treatment—from chiropractic to acupuncture.
How it affected him
Although the pain from the pinched nerve wasn’t constant, when it did flare up Edward found it tough to perform computer work while sitting at his desk. It also limited his ability to complete his daily workout, as well as to enjoy activities like biking, skiing, and hiking.
The help we provided
After completing a thorough evaluation of Edward’s situation, we were able to accurately diagnose the issue and create a solution that produced lasting results. It not only included therapy modalities and exercises performed in our facility, but it also included exercises Edward could continue to do on his own.
How he was impacted
After only a few short weeks at Eclipse—and after continuing his at-home exercises—Edward let us know he hadn’t experienced any pain or further interruptions to his daily routines. With his pinched nerve out of the way, he was able to happily return to all of the activities he loved, pain-free.
Olivia’s love for gymnastics
The problem she faced
Having been involved in gymnastics for most of her life, Olivia is now a level 10 gymnast. That accomplishment doesn’t come without its challenges though. Being involved in one of the most physically demanding sports, Olivia has had her fair share of injuries to her pelvis, wrists, elbow, knees, and back—some of which required surgeries.
How it affected her
When she experienced an injury or was recovering from surgery, Olivia was unable to train and compete. In her own words, “With gymnastics, there is no time that is a good time to be off.” Not only did time off keep her from the sport she loved, but it also threatened her chance of continuing gymnastics into college.
The help we provided
With our Artistic Athletics program, Olivia was able to work directly with licensed and highly-experienced physical therapists who were also gymnasts themselves. They understood her goals, her injuries, and the unique demands of the sport, which allowed them to treat her in full context. We also used our connections within the gymnastics and professional community to help Olivia’s treatment evolve and find new ways to prevent future injuries.
How she was impacted
Because of her dedication to therapy, Olivia has not only been able to continue in her sport but she also committed to competing at Division 1 college. We’re overjoyed to see her doing what she loves.
Zachary’s passion for athletics
The problem he faced
To say that Zachary loves playing sports is an understatement. He’s been an active participant throughout high school, college, and beyond. With placing constant demands on his body—and with getting older—Zachary experienced numerous injuries including a pinched labrum, chronic back pain, a torn calf, and torn hamstrings.
How it affected him
The pain and range of motion issues caused by his injuries obviously impacted his ability to participate in the sports he loved, as well as to perform at the level he was used to. But, it went further. Zachary also experienced mental distress because he felt like he was letting his teammates down.
The help we provided
We actually started working with Zachary when he was a high school student, and we continue to work with him now as a recreational athlete. Along the way, whenever he experienced an injury, we’d schedule an appointment, evaluate him, and create a fully customized rehab regimen for each situation—no copy-and-paste plans. Although he had pressure from many different places to return to play as soon as possible, Zachary’s full recovery was always our number one priority. We treated and educated him so that he could live free from pain on and off the field, during his athletic career and beyond.
How he was impacted
Every time we got to see Zachary return to play, we knew we’d achieved our purpose. Remaining a high performing athlete for over 10 years is very difficult, so we’re proud to see Zachary still enjoying it. The best part is that even though he recently moved an hour away from our facility, he still chooses to come to us for any therapy needs that arise.

Renee’s dedication to living life to the full
The problem she faced
Renee has been coming to see us for the last 10 years, even since we first opened our Moon Township facility. Being very active—and also entering seniorhood—she kept experiencing orthopedic issues including patellar tendonitis of both knees, a partially herniated cervical disc, and a partial ACL tear. With all of that came flare-ups of discomfort, pain, and instability.
How it affected her
Because of the pain and decreased range of motion, these episodes significantly impacted Renee’s ability to attend to daily tasks or even use the stairs in her home. Even more, the pain interrupted her biking, skiing, kayaking, and landscaping—outdoor activities that kept her feeling happy, healthy, and fit.
The help we provided
We loved working with Renee and treated her like our only patient from the very beginning. After a full assessment, we educated her on why she was experiencing flareups of pain and what could be done to help. We then set out to create a solution that was custom-tailored to Renee’s issue. This included heat, modalities, and exercises at our facility, as well as printed exercises she could take home with her for continued rehab.
How she was impacted
In Renee’s words, the treatment she received at Eclipse “has been a game-changer.” After her initial sessions and continuing her at-home rehab, Renee saw an immediate improvement in her neck and now enjoys the active lifestyle she loves. She even let us know that she rarely has to use anti-inflammatory medication. It’s also rare that she needs to come to see us anymore, but we’ll be ready to care for her whenever she does.
Eddie’s win over the unhappy triad
The problem he faced
Eddie was always active and loved skiing. However, demanding activities inevitably puts stress on the body and come with risk. For Eddie, a simple ski trip turned into a big issue when he tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus—a complex knee injury some refer to as the unhappy triad.
How it affected him
Because of this injury, Eddie experienced swelling, pain, stiffness, and instability. All of these symptoms kept him from living the active lifestyle he loved. Work also became a struggle for him since his job required him to stand for the majority of the day.
The help we provided
Because this was a complex injury, we couldn’t just give Eddie a list of things to do on his own when he came to visit us. We paired him with a dedicated therapist, took time to get to know him, and created a treatment solution that involved many different approaches. Among them were therapeutic modalities, range-of-motion exercises, balance and proprioception training, and correct use of a brace.
How he was impacted
Because of his dedication to the custom solution we created and because of continuous communication about his goals, Eddie has been able to return to work and to the physical activities he enjoys—free from pain and at 100%.
Christopher’s return from an ACL tear
The problem he faced
Christopher experienced what can be one of the scariest injuries—he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). As one of the major ligaments in his knee, a torn ACL caused Christopher to experience pain, swelling, instability, and a loss of range of motion.
How it affected him
Not only did the ACL tear cause Christopher day-to-day pain and discomfort that limited his normal activity level, but his injury was so severe that he required surgery to properly address it.
The help we provided
Both the knee joint and an ACL tear are complex things. Recovery can be challenging and rather lengthy, which is why it was important for us to build a rehab regimen around Christopher’s post-op goals. Each day he came to see us, we made sure to utilize modalities, strengthening exercises, and balance exercises to keep him progressing comfortably.
How he was impacted
Christopher let us know that he felt improvements immediately following his very first session at Eclipse. Shortly after surgery, he was able to return to day-to-day activities with little to no pain. He loved our flexible scheduling, positive environment, and that we always put his goals first.
